The Starlight Mint’s new release, Drowatown, has been noticed by College Radio across the U.S. Accordingly, Rolling Stone Magazine listed the new CD in its College Radio Top Ten Albums for the week ending June 15, 2006. According to CMJ Networks, Inc, Drowatown ranked at number 8.

The CD, which is the Starlight Mints debut release on Seattle-based Barsuk Records, was mastered at Treelady Studios by Chief Mastering Engineer Garrett Haines, and features the single, “Inside of Me.”

Treelady Studios’ Chief Mastering Engineer Garrett Haines will moderate the Mastering Panel at this year’s Tape Op Convention.  Due to events dealing with Hurricane Katrina, this year’s events will be held at the Hilton El Conquistador Resort outside of Tucson, Arizona.

On Mr. Haines’ panel will be leading mastering engineers such as Chris Athens of Sterling Sound, Mark Christensen of Engine Room Mastering, Jen Munson of NPR/dB Plus,  and Jeff Carroll of Bluefield Mastering.

Topics will include preparing your mixes for mastering, mastering gear, tips and tricks, 5.1 surround, and much more.

Hilton El Conquistador Hotel and Resort hosts the 2006 Tape Op Convention.
